The durable steel chassis encases the inside coils of the transformer keeping them safe and long lasting allowing you to get continuous,efficient use out of your converter and your equipment. Other models are built with a plastic casing, however the steelframe can withstand more force. However, with the steel frame will make for a heavier transformer so refer to the specifications foreach converter for further information about the specific weight.
